New President For Worldwide Movers Africa
The Directors of the Worldwide Movers Africa Group of companies take pleasure in announcing the appointment of Eric Beuthin to the position of President with effect from March 16, 2007.

Val Prinsep, who has held the position since the company's inception, will continue his marketing functions in the capacity of Group Chairman.

"In passing the reins to a younger generation, we will inject new strategies and initiatives to enhance our industry representation. With his experience, skills and energy, Eric was the obvious choice to drive the Group forward." said Val Prinsep.

Karibu Claire!
January through March of 2007 Worldwide Movers Tanzania and Uganda hosted Claire Mauger, a business student at the International School of Commerce in Lyon France, to a three month internship.  Shown here touching up the signboard in Dar Es Salaam under the watchful eye of WWM's President, Val Prinsep, Claire gained hands-on experience in all facets of the international removals industry.  "Claire proved to be a fast learner and through her outgoing personality and enthusiasm added glitter to our operation in more ways than one." Said Bill Beuthin, Managing Director of WWM Tanzania.

A Treat to Beat the Heat
Tanzania, located just below the equator on Africa's East Coast, endures very high temperatures during February and March as the sun approaches the vernal equinox. In order to provide a refreshing break, the senior staff of Worldwide Movers Tanzania hosted 38 children of local staff, aged 3-13, to a day at Kunduchi Wet 'n Wild, East Africa's largest water park. "The park's impressive array of pools, slides, fountains and games offers entertainment for everyone." Said Myriam Beuthin, WWM's HR Director. "The kids as well as the adult chaperones had a great day." (Click image for larger version)

Worldwide Movers Africa, Another First in Southern Sudan
Worldwide Movers Africa has opened its 10th country operation, this time in Rumbek, Southern Sudan.  With increasing UN and oil company activity, direct flights into the area from contiguous countries are seeing dramatic growth as well as the need for overseas moving services. A rapid response to these demands was needed.

Worldwide Movers Africa has established a “one-man solution” (that now boasts a roof, full packing services, a clearing facility) and more importantly, a satellite phone.  Roads to the area from Uganda and Kenya are very challenging (and mined on both sides) so 4 wheel drive delivery trucks must literally keep to the straight and narrow.

“Provided the peace accords hold. Rumbek will continue to be the centre of oil exploitation, servicing and rehabilitation in the area” says Eric Beuthin, director of Worldwide Movers Uganda.

Worldwide Movers FIDI/FAIM Certification
Worldwide Movers Uganda has successfully obtained the highly esteemed FIDI affiliation. This follows an eight month training period that culminated in the FAIM certification audit. Having achieved this goal in Uganda, the Worldwide Group has similar plans for all of its offices throughout Africa.
